Understanding the diverse areas an SLP addresses can guide you in determining your testing needs. At our clinic, we focus on evaluating and treating:

Receptive Language

This assesses your ability to understand spoken or written language. For instance, comprehending instructions, following directions, or grasping complex ideas in conversation or text.

Expressive Language

This assesses your capacity to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas verbally or in writing. This includes using appropriate vocabulary, sentence structure, and conveying messages clearly.

Pragmatic Language

Our specialty in social communication skills focuses on interpreting social cues, understanding nonverbal signals, and navigating the subtleties of language in social contexts in neurodersity affirming ways.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)

We also assess and provide guidance on using AAC systems, such as communication boards/devices, to facilitate effective communication with multiple communication partners.

We will also work informally with people on Articulation, Phonology, and Fluency needs in context of other areas of communication services. and have a network of SLPs who work more extensively in these domains to refer you to if one of these domains is a primary concern.

Fees

Language testing fees are individualized and vary based on the hourly costs associated with administration of the assessments, interpretation of the results, report writing, and any additional expenses associated with the testing.

A written cost for each assessment needed for your testing will be provided prior to scheduling.Â
